Her love for the outdoors began at a young age and has only grown stronger over the years. During her early teenage years, Sheila discovered her passion for volunteering while working with the Red Cross in Haiti as a disaster response volunteer. Her experience at Red Cross left a lasting impact on her, igniting a desire to help others in need. Through volunteering, she has developed a strong sense of responsibility and protective nature towards her community and those around her.
Sheila’s dedication to volunteer work has allowed her to help others and grow as an individual. Her experiences have taught her the importance of compassion, understanding, and kindness towards everyone she meets. With each new opportunity to make a difference, she inspires those around her and leaves a positive impact.
Sheila is not only dedicated to volunteering , but also holds strong personal values and qualities that guide her through life. Her conscientiousness is reflected in her deep sense of honesty and strict attention to what is morally right. She believes in living a life of integrity, as both a Christian and an Etiquette Consultant, valuing and respecting people while remaining truthful and grateful for assistance and favor.
Her early volunteering experiences, specifically helping disaster victims and those in need, have taught her the importance of stress tolerance and given her a better understanding of life. Sheila knows how to remain calm and patient in challenging situations; it takes a lot to stress her out.
Sheila’s personal qualities shine through in her motivation, creativity, and sensitivity towards others. When she sets her mind to something, nothing can stop her, and she approaches tasks effectively and efficiently. Her love for people and her aversion to pain fuel her passion for standing up against abuse, especially towards the vulnerable. Her creative spirit is always searching for new perspectives, and she is constantly dreaming of new ideas to put into reality.
In addition to her volunteer work and personal values, Sheila is an accomplished businesswoman. She is the owner and CEO of 1st Serv Business Etiquette, 1st Serv Courier & Services, and 1st Serv GROUP, leading one of the biggest aid organizations in Haiti.
Despite facing personal challenges, such as her divorce and raising her son as a single mother, Sheila has continued to pursue her passions and positively impact those around her.
Next to her foundation work, Sheila offers free Etiquette training as a Certified Consultant to churches and women’s groups upon request. She is dedicated to spreading her knowledge and expertise in good manners, social etiquette, and protocol to those who may not have access to it otherwise.
